World Environment Day celebration
REPORT ON: TREE PLANTATION PROGRAMME AND ONLINE DRAWING COMPETITION

The Eco Club of DSIPST celebrated World Environment Day 2026 on 5th June 2026 by organizing a Tree Plantation Programme and an Online Drawing Competition to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students and the community.
The Tree Plantation Programme was conducted at the Herbal Garden of DSIPST. Faculty members, Eco Club coordinators, and students actively participated in planting a variety of medicinal and ornamental plants. The programme emphasized the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, conserving biodiversity, and combating climate change. Participants enthusiastically took part in the plantation activity and pledged to contribute towards creating a greener and healthier environment.
As part of the celebration, the Eco Club also organized an Online Drawing Competition on the theme: “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”
The competition received an overwhelming response from students belonging to different educational institutions across India. Participants showcased their creativity and artistic skills through impressive drawings highlighting environmental conservation, climate action, sustainable development, biodiversity protection, and the harmonious relationship between humans and nature. The competition served as a platform for students from diverse regions of the country to express their ideas and concerns regarding environmental issues through art.
The event successfully promoted awareness about environmental protection and inspired participants to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. The enthusiastic participation of students from across the nation and the active involvement of the DSIPST community made the celebration a grand success.
