Event Overview
World Photography Day is celebrated annually on August 19th to honor the art, science, and craft of photography and its societal impact. The Photography Club of Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology celebrated World Photography Day 2025 by organizing an Online Photography Competition based on the theme:
The Art of Healing. Flyers and Google forms for registration and participation were circulated on various social media platforms from 12th August to 19th August 2025.
Objective
The objective of the event was to encourage young talents to showcase their artistic perspective through the lens. The theme of the competition was aligned with World Photography Day, promoting the idea of capturing moments that reflect creativity, innovation, and awareness.
Participation
The Online Photography Competition received a good response from different parts of India. All entries were carefully evaluated by the judges based on the following criteria:
- Creativity and originality
- Relevance to the theme
- Technical quality
- Overall impact
Winners
After careful evaluation, the following winners were selected and awarded E-Certificates:
- 1st Prize: Sourav Tanti (D.Pharm, 1st Year, DSIPST)
- 2nd Prize: Raju Deb (B.Com, IGNOU)
- 3rd Prize: Supriyo Gayen (D.Pharm, 2nd Year, DSIPST)

The remaining participants were honored with a Certificate of Appreciation for their sincere efforts and active participation.
