As a Principal, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Dr.Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, located at Dumdum, Kolkata. It was established in 2023 with an approval from Pharmacy Council of India and affiliation from West Bengal State Council .

The new millennium is witnessing unprecedented challenges and opportunities in higher education. In the recent times, the educational sector has gone through a major transformation influenced by the global technological changes viz. shifting to Outcome Based Education, enhancement of Industry-Institute-Interactions, digital transformation, providing affordable quality education etc. to pave a way for students to pursue their higher studies and enhanced employment opportunities. In tune with the changes and India-Centered Education System recommendation of NEP-2020, this institute strives to transform our nation sustainably, into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society by providing high quality education to all.

DSIPST believes in lifelong learning through new pedagogy methods, faculty development, adoption of new technologies and collaborative work. Faculty and students under the umbrella of DSIPST are encouraged to participate and develop new products, new processes and systems to enhance visibility of DSIPST in international fore and thus, improving economic growth and prosperity of the country.

In order to develop industry ready professionals, DSIPST arranges for regular industry Visits, Hospital visits and Field visits. The students are encouraged to pursue their passion, develop innovative skills, set proper goals and execute within timelines. They learn how to handle failures and work for societal needs with environmental consciousness through various innovative mechanisms. The institute is always ready to consider the knowledge on current science, technology and management trends of all the stakeholders of Pharmaceutical Education.
